Redefining and redesigning uConnect—the internal site for Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood Parks & Resorts.
Developing content strategies for Sharepoint sites (otherwise known as intranets and internal websites) is often complex but is easily approached with standard activities and deliverables.
For this project specifically, I was brought after discovery was completed and the first content phase, Inventory & Assessment had already begun.
I completed an inventory analysis of the content and sites across the three intranet sites we were looking to combine: uConnect, myUO and myUSH.
I also used Miro boards to workshop the navigation framework and the taxonomy structure and frameworks with client stakeholders from each of the parks.
By identifying the types of content that is used and presented across these sites, I was able to help consult and inform component design, as well as how to leverage the taxonomy structures to ensure content presented was personalized for each user.
